Just before returning to Israel: the airline removed the flights and disappeared

Scandinavian airline SAS has removed direct flights between Tel Aviv and Copenhagen from its booking system, which were scheduled to resume on October 26. The flights are not available for purchase on the company's website, and travel agents cannot book them either. Those looking for a flight from Copenhagen to Tel Aviv on that date find other options, but not the direct SAS flight. The development is surprising given that just about ten days ago, the company presented a clear plan for its return to Israel, with four weekly flights on Airbus A320neo aircraft. The connection between SAS and Israel has seen changes recently: in October 2025, the company resumed operating the route after more than a decade, but a few months later operations were suspended. Now, after the renewed announcement, a question mark has arisen again. At Ben Gurion Airport, the flights still appear on the flight board, and on the SAS website the Israel destination page still exists. It is unclear whether this is a glitch in the booking system or a deliberate change in flight plans.
