A serious indictment was filed today (Thursday) at the Lod District Court against Mustafa Issa, 20, from Kafr Qasim, for offenses against state security motivated by nationalism. According to the indictment, over about a year and a half, Issa planned to carry out an attack by planting an explosive device or dropping one from a drone. To find a suitable target and gather information, he volunteered with the fire and rescue services. Issa focused his plan on the server farm of the company "Amdocs" in Ra'anana, assessing that hitting it would cause severe political and economic damage. He downloaded guides and videos on manufacturing weapons and explosive devices, tried to assemble a device by mixing incendiary materials with fireworks, and purchased a drone and accessories for attaching a device. The prosecution ordered his detention until the end of proceedings due to his dangerousness. The Fire and Rescue Commissioner, Eyal Caspi, commented on the affair, saying the incident is being handled by the Shin Bet and the Israel Police.
