The remarks were made in response to a question from interviewer Andrew Marr about Biden's stance on Israel following the war in Gaza. Biden referred to an "explosive report" that he said was published a few days earlier, likely referring to a Haaretz report on the matter. He did not clarify who he meant when he said "they," did not present evidence for his claims, and did not elaborate on what that plan was. In the interview, Biden also said that what is happening in Gaza "resembles genocide" and claimed that Netanyahu has made Jews worldwide less safe than since the Holocaust. This is not the first time Biden has attacked Netanyahu and raised conspiracy theories about Israel. In a previous interview with Tucker Carlson, he called Netanyahu "evil incarnate" and admitted he had no forensic evidence.
