A day after the elections in Israel, Haim Ramon was interviewed on 103FM and expressed pessimism about forming a unity government. Ramon said that Netanyahu "cannot form a government, he cannot control the Knesset" and that the prime minister "has no genuine desire to form a real unity government." According to him, Netanyahu is unwilling to give up his ultra-Orthodox partners, Smotrich and Ben Gvir, and would gladly accept someone joining "as a surplus." Ramon outlined Netanyahu's goal: to lead a transitional government during which there would be war, and then go to additional elections, believing that Arabs and overseas voters would not repeat their previous achievements. Regarding Iran, Ramon stated that the one who determines whether there will be war is US President Donald Trump, and Israel will fight alongside him. In conclusion, Ramon assessed that Netanyahu will pay a "terrible and awful political price" even if the change bloc collapses in the next elections.
