Netanyahu's victory shows the public doesn't buy the spins of the left-wing channels
Yehuda Schlesinger argues that Netanyahu's victory proves the public no longer believes the media storms of the 'left-wing channels', and calls them a 'poison machine' and 'engineers of consciousness'.
In an opinion column on Channel 14, Yehuda Schlesinger argues that Benjamin Netanyahu's election victory proves that the Israeli public no longer believes the media storms produced by the 'left-wing channels'. The author lists a series of affairs and scandals covered by the media in recent years, including the Egyptian plane scandal, QatarGate, the cryptocurrency affair, the Avi Gil storm, the Orich WhatsApps, and more. According to him, despite the dramatic headlines and warnings from commentators, Likud strengthened in the polls and reached 26 seats. Schlesinger calls the other channels an 'unrestrained poison machine' and a 'television arm of the opposition bloc', and claims the elections were a vote of confidence in the Israeli media, in which the public expressed complete distrust.
