From November 1: AliExpress opens a platform for Israeli sellers with local delivery

Starting November 1, AliExpress will open a trading platform for Israeli sellers, allowing them to sell products directly to local buyers with delivery within the country. The initial phase will focus on home appliances, electronics, and everyday consumer goods. Prices have not yet been announced, but they are expected to be competitive.

Chinese e-commerce giant AliExpress will open a trading platform for companies and sellers registered in Israel starting November 1. Local merchants will be able to open virtual stores on the platform and sell products directly to Israeli buyers. This comes ahead of the Singles' Day sales. Alibuy groups have already announced that from November 1, products labeled "Delivery from a warehouse in Israel" will appear. Among the products are Jager bicycles and Xiaomi products. Alibuy CEO Yaniv Porat said that prices are not yet set, but they are likely to be good. For example, the expected price for Jager bicycles is around 4,500 shekels, compared to the usual price in Israel of 6,000 shekels. Israeli sellers will have to compete with Chinese prices, with advantages being fast delivery within Israel and the sale of heavy items. The company stated that the innovation will increase the product range and shorten delivery times. The initial phase will focus on home appliances, electronics, auto electronics, office equipment, mother and baby products, and everyday consumer goods. Participation depends on AliExpress's quality requirements. Previously, AliExpress had operated in Israel through local warehouses until the tax authority halted that initiative. The current move resembles Amazon's failed attempt in 2019 to launch Amazon Israel.
