Prof. Noam Yehudai, director of the medical center, stated that specialized training is an essential component of the complete medical envelope of body and soul. Eliran Avargel, 29 at the time of his fall, served as a fighter in the Border Police, the motorcycle unit, and the MATPA unit. On the morning of October 7, he was called to his unit and arrived at Be'eri, was wounded by RPG fire but continued fighting until he fell. He is survived by his parents, two sisters, and his wife Eden. About eight months after his fall, their son, Ari Yehuda, was born. His wife Eden said the fund expresses the values of giving and mission that accompanied him. Tamar Bodek Mala, CEO of the Friends of the Medical Center Association, noted that investing in professional training continues Eliran's spirit.
