Call to renew settlement: convoys of vehicles from across the country heading to Gaza

Thousands of people, including ministers and Knesset members, set out today (Sunday) in vehicle convoys from Yad Mordechai toward the northern observation point in Gaza, calling for the renewal of Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip. The rally, led by the Nachala movement together with additional right-wing organizations, carries the slogan "Choosing victory - settling in Gaza" and aims to demand the government promote settlement in the area. The convoys gathered at 14:00 at the Yad Mordechai junction and began moving toward the northern observation point and the Nisanit observation point. The organizers clarify that against the backdrop of the collapse of diplomatic initiatives, the message to the Prime Minister is that a long-term security decision will only be achieved through civilian presence and holding the territory. Nachala movement chairwoman Daniella Weiss stated that "the picture of victory will only be achieved when we return to all areas of our land and settle the Gaza Strip with Jews." Another chairman, Tzvi Elimelech Sharvab, added that the gathering is intended to give the government strength to continue the Defense Minister's declarations about raising Nahal nuclei and to stop the entry of an international force. Later today, a central rally will be held and a Sukkot compound will be established.
