"Enough with the bluff": Harsh exchange of accusations between Likud and Ben Gvir

The confrontation between Likud and Otzma Yehudit over the composition of the next government has intensified. Likud attacked Ben Gvir and called on him to stop attacking the party. Otzma Yehudit claimed that Netanyahu wants Gadi Eisenkot in the government instead of Ben Gvir, and demanded a public commitment not to sit with Eisenkot and Yair Golan.

The confrontation within the national camp has intensified: Likud and Otzma Yehudit exchanged harsh accusations over the composition of the next government. Likud attacked Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir and said: "Ben Gvir – enough with the bluff. Prime Minister Netanyahu has already clarified many times that he will establish the next government based on the existing parties of the national camp." Likud added: "Instead of your attacks on Likud, we recommend you focus on preventing the establishment of a left-wing government of Eisenkot with Yair Golan, Lieberman, and the Arab parties." Otzma Yehudit did not remain indebted and responded with a sharp attack: "The thief's hat is on fire." The party repeated the claim that the Prime Minister's Office is sending messages to countries around the world that Ben Gvir will not be in the next government, while simultaneously promoting messages in favor of a unity government. Otzma Yehudit even brought Gadi Eisenkot to the center of the confrontation and claimed: "Unfortunately, the fact is that Netanyahu wants Eisenkot in the next government instead of Ben Gvir – the same Eisenkot who signed a surplus agreement with Yair Golan. Neither Netanyahu nor Eisenkot deny this." In conclusion, the party issued a direct demand to the Prime Minister: "It's time for Netanyahu to publicly commit that he will not sit with Gadi Eisenkot and Yair Golan." Thus, the debate over the composition of the future coalition has become an open confrontation between the two parties of the national camp, even before the elections.
