Elchanan Klein, may God avenge his blood, took a short leave from reserve duty during the Iron Swords War, but was murdered in a terrorist attack moments before reaching his home. Now his family and friends are launching a memorial project: renovating a spring in the northern Jordan Valley, which will bear his name 'Ein Elchanan'. The project is located near his birthplace, in the Ein Sukkot area near Shadmot Mehola. The site has a water pool nine meters long, four meters wide, and about 1.7 meters deep. The initiators plan to build a pergola, place benches, construct a deck, and improve access to the water. They are calling on the public to donate to fund the work.
