President Isaac Herzog and his wife Michal met this evening (Monday) at the President's Residence in Jerusalem with British singer Boy George, who landed in Israel over the weekend. The meeting was also attended by businessman Sylvan Adams, producer Guy Beser, a co-owner of Live Nation Israel, and former hostage Elkana Bohbot, who was held captive by Hamas for 738 days. After a closed-door meeting, the participants held a press conference. President Herzog thanked the singer for his support of Israel since October 7 and presented him with anemone flowers as a symbol of renewal ahead of his visit tomorrow to the Gaza border area. Boy George said he had lost many friends due to his public stance and noted that he wrote the song "We Will Dance Again" following the Nova festival massacre. As part of his visit, he will tour the festival site in Re'im tomorrow, and later this week will perform two shows at Menora Mivtachim Hall in Tel Aviv: on November 4 he will host Ivri Lider, and on November 7 he will hold a performance for Nova survivors and their families with DJ Offer Nissim.
