Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot reveals in an interview with the weekend supplement of Yedioth Ahronoth that a threatening message was left on the grave of his son Gal, who fell in Gaza in December 2023. Eisenkot says he deliberated on what to do with the message and ultimately decided not to act, saying, "At this stage of life, it's very hard to scare me." In the interview, he also attacks Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and accuses him of providing false versions to the State Comptroller regarding the events of October 7. Eisenkot claims: "In my assessment, reports were forged. I have a very deep suspicion of document forgery. In my opinion, this is a document someone cooked up." The interview also includes an archive segment from 2004 in which Eisenkot, then a brigadier general, assessed that his son would also have to fight in the territories and said that "there is no absolute victory in this struggle."
