Musician and songwriter Eili Botner appeared today (Monday) on Kan News' program "BaChatzi HaYom" on Reshet Bet, to mark the release of the new single "Just Don't Break My Heart" by the group "Eili Botner and the Band." In the interview, Botner addressed the public atmosphere in Israel, the election campaign, and his feelings amid the political deadlock. He said, "My heart is divided, I think, like many," and expressed a wish for things to be good in the country, while noting the difficulty of seeing the things people say about each other. Botner emphasized that in his opinion, "the people love each other much more and are more united than the leadership," based on his encounters with audiences from all sectors at performances. He shared the personal inspiration for the new song, which describes an experience of moving from a kibbutz to a big city and a feeling of loneliness. Botner noted that music is a remedy in difficult times, and that the group now operates under the name "Eili Botner and the Band." On January 8, the group is expected to begin a national tour starting at Givat Brenner.
