The Israeli military operation in the city of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, has been ongoing for a week, leading to the displacement of about 5,000 Palestinians, damage to property, and disruption of economic activities. The Hebron Municipality announced that occupation forces forcibly displaced 4,969 Palestinians from the areas of Jalda and Deir Baha since the start of the aggression, and 780 families were affected by the ongoing military operations. Mayor Yousef al-Jabari said that about 5,000 Palestinians have become either displaced or affected, noting that the aggression caused damage to Palestinian homes, water and sewage networks, roads, and sidewalks, as well as the closure of several factories and disruption of worker and goods movement. Al-Jabari added that occupation forces destroyed homes whose owners were forced to flee, under the pretext of searching for weapons, stressing that the full extent of the damage will not be clear until after the forces withdraw from the targeted areas. The number of detainees in the city exceeded 90, while occupation forces detained over 250 others and subjected them to field interrogation, coinciding with continued raids on neighborhoods and tightening military measures at the entrances to the city, its towns, and camps, preventing citizens from moving through several roads and closed gates. Occupation forces also assaulted three citizens, including an elderly man, in the inspection area, and fired tear gas towards the Al-Ahli Hospital.
