An unidentified armed minor attacked a guard outside the Israeli embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, with knives last night and was killed. The attacker shouted "Allahu Akbar" and attacked the officer with two knives. The officer neutralized the attacker and was lightly injured. Serbia's Interior Minister Ivica Dačić stated that the police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack and raised the terror threat alert level to the highest. This is at least the second attack since the October 7 massacre and the start of the war in Gaza in which a terrorist attack was carried out near the Israeli representation in the Serbian capital. The previous attack was in June 2024, when a man shot at an officer with a crossbow.
