Bulldozing and road construction continue in the Baqi'a and Atoof plains as part of the "Red Thread" project, which includes the construction of military and settlement roads and the erection of a separation wall. These operations have led to the destruction of water networks, uprooting of fruit trees, and depriving more than 30,000 dunams of irrigation water. The escalation comes within the context of Israeli control policies over the Jordan Valley since 1967, which include classifying lands as Area "C" and imposing restrictions on Palestinian construction.
