Binyahu Razi murder: Court rules Linor Sasson will remain in custody

The Jerusalem District Court ruled that Linor Sasson, accused of aiding in the murder of Binyahu Razi, will remain in custody. A schedule was set for hearings regarding minors and other defendants in the case.

The Jerusalem District Court ruled today (Tuesday) that Linor Sasson, accused of aiding after the murder of Binyahu Razi and obstructing proceedings, will remain in custody. The court determined there is prima facie evidence for the offenses attributed to her. The prosecution agreed to a probation report examining the possibility of release to alternative custody, but the prosecution representative noted that Sasson had previously committed two extortion offenses, and after a prior conviction where the court considered her health condition and being the mother of a minor, she again committed the acts attributed to her in the current indictment. In light of this, the prosecution argued that she cannot be fully trusted and that a report should be prepared before her release. The probation service was asked to submit a report within 30 days, and the next hearing was set for October 22. Regarding the four minors, the hearing was postponed to November. Regarding Agam Tzrafi and Shilat Huta, a schedule was set for submitting arguments and the investigation file, and their hearing will take place on October 19. Last month, indictments were filed against seven defendants in the case. According to the indictment, the main suspect in the murder, Avior Sasson, and another unidentified defendant, stabbed Binyahu Razi in the chest, and shortly after his death was determined. One indictment was filed against Avior Sasson, three additional minors, and Linor Sasson, his mother. The minors were charged with manslaughter. Another indictment will be filed against Agam Tzrafi and Shilat Huta, who are also expected to be charged with manslaughter.
