Unprecedented footage: Pressed the gas, raced wildly – and dragged a policewoman as she hung from the vehicle
A suspect in his 20s, wanted for theft and burglary, attempted to flee from police officers in Rishon LeZion. He ran over and dragged a policewoman who was clinging to his car door. The officer sustained minor injuries, and the suspect was arrested after a manhunt.
A suspect in his 20s, a resident of Or Yehuda, who was wanted for questioning on suspicion of theft and burglary, attempted to flee from police officers of the Rishon LeZion station. The officers identified him during administrative activity. When they approached and asked him to identify himself, he entered his vehicle and began to flee. One policewoman clung to the car door in an attempt to prevent his escape, but the suspect continued driving with her hanging from the vehicle. After a short time, the officer fell and sustained minor injuries. The police launched extensive searches and a manhunt, at the end of which the suspect was located and arrested. He was transferred for questioning, and the police are expected to request an extension of his detention at the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court.
