Air Canada has decided to resume direct flights from Toronto to Tel Aviv on November 30, 2026, nearly a month and a half earlier than originally planned (January 17, 2027). Flights will operate four times a week — on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays — on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The round-trip ticket price with baggage will be at least about $1,010. Air Canada's return is part of the gradual restoration of international air traffic to Israel. In early September, Delta and United resumed direct flights, and earlier, KLM, Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, Air Europa, and other carriers returned to the country. At the same time, American Airlines has postponed its return until at least the end of March 2027, British Airways maintains flight cancellations until the end of October, and Emirates does not operate its own flights to Tel Aviv, selling tickets through a codeshare agreement with flydubai. Major European low-cost carriers easyJet and Ryanair have not yet returned to Israel.
