Bar Association against Smotrich: "Remove the video immediately - the message is violent"

Becher calls the video a violent and inciting message and threatens to appeal to the Central Elections Committee and the police if the demand is not met.

The head of the Israel Bar Association, attorney Amit Becher, issued a firm call today (Thursday) to Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and the Religious Zionism party to immediately remove an AI-based election propaganda video published by the party. The video shows senior Israeli judicial officials, including Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and Supreme Court President Justice Yitzhak Amit, being forcibly dragged by police officers. Becher defines the video as a "violent and inciting message" that portrays the judges and the attorney general as "enemies of the public." According to him, the violence directed at the heads of the law enforcement system recalls dark regimes. The Bar Association threatens that if the video is not removed, it will appeal to the Central Elections Committee for emergency injunctions, and even to the police. The video was published against the backdrop of the Knesset election campaign.
