Among the olive trees he planted: the dream of the late Noam Raz has become a tradition

Preparations are being completed at the olive grove planted by the late Chief Warrant Officer Noam Raz in the community of Kida in Binyamin for the annual harvest festival of the "Bidarkei Noam" association, to be held during the intermediate days of Sukkot. The event will include children's activities, workshops, and classes for adults. Widow Efrat began organizing the event just months after his fall, driven by a desire to fulfill his wish to turn the grove into a family site.

At the olive grove planted by the late Chief Warrant Officer Noam Raz in the community of Kida in Binyamin, preparations are being completed for the annual harvest festival of the "Bidarkei Noam" association, which will take place during the intermediate days of Sukkot and will be open to the general public. The event will include activities for the whole family: a climbing wall, zip line, laser tag, paintball, rope bridge, face painting, field cooking, and drum circles. A police display will also be set up with horsemen, dog handlers, drones, and a fire truck. This year, Raz's life story will be integrated through the children's book "The Secret of a Warrior." Raz, 47 at the time of his death, served 23 years in the Yamam as a breaching fighter, sniper, and paramedic, following combat service in the Golani Engineering Corps. He left behind a wife and six children. On May 13, 2022, he was killed during an operational activity in the village of Burkin. The event was born from his dream to turn the grove into a family site; his widow Efrat began holding it five months after his death. In recent years, the "Grove of Revival" was also planted there in memory of fallen Yamam fighters.
