The organization condemned the violent reactions and threats against the creators and emphasized the importance of freedom of speech for democracy. Segal responded on his X account: "Supporters of Hamas's propaganda ministry, shame. To everyone who funds them with their money." The film, created by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Shor, won the Venice Film Festival and was broadcast on Al Jazeera. It accuses the IDF of war crimes after October 7 and has caused an uproar at the top levels of the state and military, with claims of spreading blood libels. Over 1,000 cultural and film figures, including directors Shira Geffen and Shlomi Elkabetz, signed a petition supporting the creators and warning of an unprecedented incitement campaign.
