Soldiers of the 91st Division have destroyed over 540 infrastructures of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the security zone in southern Lebanon in recent weeks. The forces operated in villages near Metula and Margaliot, and opposite communities in the western Galilee, including the village of Al-Khiam. Among the destroyed infrastructures were weapons warehouses. During the operation, the soldiers located more than 150 weapons, including grenades, rockets, short- and long-range anti-tank missiles, launchers, artillery weapons, and explosive devices. The forces also found numerous small arms, such as Kalashnikov rifles and pistols. Alongside the division's forces, soldiers of the Gafen Battalion of IDF Base 1 also operated in the area. The IDF emphasized that it will not allow the terrorist organization to harm Israeli citizens and military forces, and that the army will continue to act to remove threats and maintain its commitment to the ceasefire agreement. The activity continued while Israel and Lebanon are conducting negotiations with American mediation, as part of a framework formulated in June linking Hezbollah's disarmament to a gradual IDF withdrawal and the deployment of the Lebanese army in the south. The terrorist organization, for its part, continues to reject the disarmament demand. Today (Tuesday), a Lebanese military delegation is scheduled to meet with Israeli and American representatives in Tampa, Florida, to discuss the implementation of the framework.
