After seven months of waiting: Supergas enters the retail market
Supergas Power has completed the acquisition of 50% of Nine Consumer Products, the importer of Weber, Coleman, and Ony brands, in a deal worth up to NIS 30 million. The move brings the gas supplier into the retail market for grills, taboons, and camping equipment, following approval from the Competition Authority granted about seven months after the announcement.
Supergas Power, part of the Alco Group, has completed the acquisition of a 50% controlling stake in Nine Consumer Products, the importer of the Weber, Coleman, and Ony brands, in a deal worth up to NIS 30 million. The transaction was approved by the Competition Authority after about seven months of waiting since its announcement in late March. This move brings Supergas, primarily known for gas supply, into the retail market for international consumer goods, particularly outdoor kitchens, grills, taboons, and camping equipment. The grill market in Israel is estimated at about NIS 530 million annually, with approximately 100,000 grills sold each year. In 2025, about 15,000 home taboons were sold. Through Nine, Supergas gains access to established brands and a distribution network spanning hundreds of points of sale, including at Home Center, Ace, KSP, and Ricochet chains. The company plans to expand operations into the gas water heater sector as well. Supergas Power CEO Daniel Spira stated that the acquisition is part of focusing on core activities—LPG and electricity—and deepening the customer value chain. The deal joins a broader move by the company, which included the sale of its natural gas and cogeneration activities for about NIS 406 million.
