Iran opening a new front? The warning from European intelligence services

European intelligence services are warning of an increase in covert Iranian activity against Western, Jewish, and Israeli targets. 32 countries have issued a joint condemnation of assassination plots, arson attacks, and cyber attacks attributed to the Tehran regime. Meanwhile, an Iranian spyware program used to monitor journalists and regime opponents has been exposed.

European intelligence services are warning of a growing Iranian threat across the continent, including assassination plots, sabotage attempts, arson, and cyber attacks against Western, Jewish, and Israeli targets, amid tensions between Iran and the United States and Israel. This was reported by the French newspaper Le Monde. According to the report, although the intensity of direct military confrontation with Iran has decreased, Western intelligence agencies warn of an additional front unfolding on European soil. On October 12, 32 countries, including Britain, France, Germany, the United States, and Canada, issued a joint statement condemning Iran's activities. Alongside physical threats, European intelligence agencies also warn of Iranian cyber activity. In September, Britain and its allies revealed a spyware program allegedly used by elements of the Tehran regime to monitor journalists, opposition activists, and regime opponents. The French Interior Ministry confirmed that the Iranian threat has increased but assessed it is still lower in scale compared to Britain and Germany. In contrast, the Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected the British accusations.
