A car at a bus stop in Herzliya raised suspicion – and what was found inside surprised the police

Detectives from the Glilot police station arrested a 46-year-old resident of Petah Tikva in Herzliya after his vehicle raised suspicion. During a search, hundreds of grams of cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and other drugs were seized, along with five knives, an axe, an airsoft gun, and approximately 8,000 shekels in cash.

Detectives from the Glilot police station arrested a 46-year-old resident of Petah Tikva in Herzliya last night (Saturday), after his vehicle was suspected of containing hundreds of grams of cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and other drugs, along with five knives, an axe, an airsoft gun, and approximately 8,000 shekels in cash. The suspect was arrested during an operational activity by Glilot police detectives in the Yarkon area, after officers noticed a private vehicle that had stopped at a bus stop on Jerusalem Street in Herzliya and raised their suspicion, partly due to its darkened windows. During a check of the driver, officers noticed a knife hanging under the steering wheel, and subsequently conducted a search of the vehicle. The search yielded five knives, an axe, an airsoft gun, and approximately 8,000 shekels in cash. Additionally, according to the police, the vehicle contained 828 grams gross of a substance suspected to be cocaine, divided into portions, 218 grams gross of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 72 grams gross of ecstasy pills, 16 grams gross of blotter paper, 2.7 grams gross of a substance suspected to be MDMA, as well as Dosa and liquid ketamine. The suspect was arrested and taken for questioning, after which he is expected to be brought today to the Magistrate's Court for a hearing on the police's request to extend his remand. His vehicle was also seized, and the police are considering the possibility of confiscating it.
