70-year-old critically injured in accident on Ayalon Highway

A 70-year-old man was critically injured in a road accident between a bus and a private car on the Ayalon Highway near the KKL Junction. MDA teams extricated him unconscious and evacuated him while performing CPR to Ichilov Hospital. Four additional casualties, including a 69-year-old man in moderate condition and three with minor injuries.

A 70-year-old man was critically injured in a road accident between a bus and a private car on the Ayalon Highway (Road 20), near the KKL Junction. MDA teams called to the scene extricated the trapped driver, who was unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, and evacuated him while performing CPR to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. Four other people were injured in the accident: a 69-year-old man in moderate condition with a head injury, and three with minor injuries. All were evacuated to Ichilov. The report was received at the 101 emergency hotline at 1:54 PM. The private car was severely damaged. Rescue teams described the incident as a very serious road accident.
