Shin Bet chief's message to the October 7 terrorists: "No forgiveness and no expiration date"

At a ceremony awarding Shin Bet employees at the President's Residence, agency head David Zini sent a stern message to the planners and perpetrators of the October 7 massacre: "No forgiveness and no expiration date." President Herzog and Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke; Netanyahu referred to thousands of thwarted attacks in Judea and Samaria.

At a ceremony awarding 18 Shin Bet employees for 2025, held at the President's Residence in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Shin Bet chief David Zini, Zini sent a stern message to the planners and perpetrators of the October 7 massacre. "There is no place in the world that is too far, no forgiveness, and no expiration date," Zini said. "We have pursued, we are pursuing, and we will continue to pursue you until the last participant." President Isaac Herzog, who presented the awards, praised the honorees and said, "In an organization like yours, excellence has an additional role—to think differently." Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed counterterrorism operations in Judea and Samaria, stating that "a thousand thwarted attacks" had been carried out, which he said meant "a thousand attempts to murder our people." Netanyahu added: "When we tell the terrorists: no one is immune, we will reach all of you, you are essentially implementing this in practice." Among the honorees were employees from the counterterrorism, investigations, cyber, intelligence, security, and special operations divisions.
