Yosef Haddad revealed in an interview that Likud offered him a spot in the tenth place on its list and a government position, but the approach came only after he had already joined Ofer Winter's party. Haddad said he never spoke with Netanyahu, and addressed the change in ministers' attitudes toward him.
Yosef Haddad, an advocacy activist and Knesset candidate, revealed in an interview with Walla's "Knesset Taxi" that Likud offered him a spot in the tenth place on its list and a government position, but the approach came only after he had already joined the "Amcha Yisrael" party led by Ofer Winter. Haddad, who is placed second on Winter's list, said he never met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor spoke with him. He addressed the change in attitudes of ministers and Knesset members toward him since he announced his entry into politics, claiming that elected officials who once sought to be photographed with him are now running an aggressive campaign against him. Haddad refrained from naming names. In the interview, Haddad clarified that his view on the two-state solution has completely changed, and he believes the idea is no longer relevant. He also warned of weakening support for Israel in the United States, and claimed that Qatari financial involvement in both major parties could influence their positions.
