Court ruled: Escorts will continue to enter Superland and Luna Park for free

The Jerusalem District Court ordered the deletion of a petition by "Ir HaSha'ashuim" company regarding the exemption from payment for escorts of people with disabilities. The Commission for Equal Rights will re-examine the issue by the end of March 2027. Until then, the parks are obligated to continue granting full exemption for escorts.

The Jerusalem District Court accepted the position of the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Justice and ordered the deletion of a petition by "Ir HaSha'ashuim" company, which operates the Luna Park and Superland complexes. In doing so, the court approved the parties' agreement to return the issue of the exemption from payment for escorts in amusement parks for renewed examination by the commission. The commission will hear the positions of all relevant parties and formulate a new, orderly, and comprehensive decision by March 31, 2027. Until that date, the court ruled that the existing situation will remain in effect, and the parks are obligated to continue granting full exemption from payment for escorts of people with disabilities. It was clarified that after the publication of the new decision, each relevant party will have the option to approach a legal forum.
