Democratic Party chairman Yair Golan harshly attacked President Isaac Herzog following an ynet exposé on the president's plan to form a unity government between Gadi Eisenkot and Benjamin Netanyahu if no election outcome is reached. Golan said: "Even before we voted, even before the people had their say, Bougie and the mouthpieces are already preparing the ground for 'unity' with Netanyahu." He called on the public not to despair: "They are trying to discourage you. To convince you that all is lost. That Netanyahu will stay regardless. That is a lie. We can win." Golan warned against a unity government with Netanyahu, whom he described as responsible for October 7, the abandonment of the hostages, corruption, and tearing the nation apart. He called for voting for the Democrats on October 27 to block the move. President Herzog denied the report and stated that he is not dealing with the composition of the government at this stage.
