Two young men were arrested in Tayibe after a police chase during which one of them discarded a Glock pistol. The incident occurred about two weeks ago during a proactive operation by detectives from the Tayibe station in the Central District, in cooperation with volunteers from the Sharon Special Mounted Enforcement Unit (YAMAR). During the operation, sounds of gunfire were heard throughout the city, prompting the forces to conduct searches. The officers spotted two masked suspects on a Suron motorcycle. One was arrested at the scene, while the other fled and discarded a Glock pistol during the foot chase. The weapon and magazine were located and sent for examination. Their detention was extended periodically over the past two weeks. Today, with the completion of the investigation, a prosecutor's statement was filed against the two, ahead of the filing of an indictment. Police noted that the operation was aimed at combating crime generators and blood feuds in Tayibe. However, it was not stated whether the suspects were the ones who carried out the gunfire that was heard.
