Police officers from the Tel Aviv North station in the Yarkon district conducted a proactive operation last Friday in areas with high concentrations of people at the Tel Aviv port. During the operation, the officers arrived at the Aroma branch in the port complex, where they located a person staying in Israel illegally, who was allegedly employed there in violation of the law. Following the discovery, a criminal investigation was opened to clarify the circumstances of his employment. Simultaneously, licensing officers began an administrative process to close the business, in accordance with police powers under the Entry into Israel Law. The district commander, Superintendent Sargrof, signed a closure order for the restaurant and a cessation of business activity there for one month, until November 9. The police stated that they will continue to act decisively against the employment, transportation, and lodging of illegal residents.
