An unusual violent incident at the "Moria" state-religious elementary school in Hadera: a student threw stones at a teacher, punched her in the stomach and arm, kicked her legs, and threatened her life by shouting "Die." The teacher said she tried to stop the student, and that other students in the class tried to intervene but she ordered them to stay away for fear they would be hurt. According to her, this is not the first violent incident at the school recently; a similar incident occurred before the Sukkot holiday, and the teacher who was hurt in it has not yet returned to work. Following the attack, classes at the school will begin tomorrow at 09:00, later than usual, by decision of the Teachers' Union. The chair of the Hadera branch of the Teachers' Union, Sigalit Yaakobi, will come to the school for informational talks with the teaching staff. Deputy Secretary-General of the Histadrut, Michael Pinto, said this was a serious incident and that educators receive blows and threats on a daily basis.
