Netanyahu against the PUSH news page: "Don't let anyone fool you"

Prime Minister Netanyahu attacked the PUSH news page on his Instagram account, claiming it presents itself as a news page but repeatedly sides with one political camp and attacks the other. Netanyahu urged surfers to ask who wrote it, who distributed it, who paid and who benefits, and said: "Don't let the 'news' packaging replace critical thinking."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked the PUSH news page on his Instagram account today (Sunday). According to the report, Netanyahu claimed the page presents itself as a news page but repeatedly sides with one political camp – and attacks the other. In a post quoted in the article, Netanyahu wrote: "Recently questions have arisen regarding the 'Push' page: who stands behind the content published on it, what connections exist between it and political elements, and whether some of the content promoting candidates or attacking right-wing figures is done as part of paid arrangements." He added: "If a candidate pays for content, the public must know it is sponsored content. If a political element stands behind a message, it must be identified as such. This is not a question of right or left. It is a question of transparency." Netanyahu called on surfers to ask "who wrote, who distributed, who paid and who benefits," and concluded: "Don't let the 'news' packaging replace critical thinking." The article notes that among the posts on the "news" page one can find a claim that Netanyahu is not inviting National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to a boycott, and that the post said the prime minister is deliberately drawing closer to Religious Zionism and not to Otzma Yehudit – according to an N12 report.
