WhatsApp launches a smart tool that will mark important dates in your chats

WhatsApp is launching a new smart tool called 'Text Actions in Messages,' which automatically identifies phone numbers, dates, addresses, and email addresses within conversations. The identified information is marked with a dotted underline, and tapping on it allows performing actions like dialing, saving to the calendar, or opening in maps with a single tap. The feature operates locally on the device, without sending information to external servers, so end-to-end encryption is not compromised. The rollout has begun gradually for Android and iPhone users on the latest versions, and it is expected to reach all users in the coming weeks.
