"We caught them at a karaoke party": The battle of Egoz fighters in the Lebanese rear revealed

The force caught Hezbollah terrorists in the middle of a karaoke evening, engaged in hand-to-hand combat, eliminated many terrorists, and disengaged without casualties to our forces in less than half an hour.

The force was sent to a village in the enemy's rear in the early days of the maneuver, with the aim of hitting a concentration of terrorists and disengaging. The fighters arrived via a steep and unusual cliff route. Staff Sergeant A', a fighter in the unit, recounted: "We hear background noises, sounds of karaoke of people moving around there. They didn't imagine that the IDF could reach there at this stage of the maneuver." While some of the terrorists were celebrating and others patrolling, a small team was sent towards a house down the street for a face-to-face encounter with an armed terrorist cell. Sergeant First Class R', a fighter in the unit, described: "I see just a shadow of a person reflected on the door, my heart is pounding. I release the safety, press the trigger hard, and start dismantling the locator." An aggressive battle developed on site, during which the terrorists tried to activate explosive devices and fire anti-tank missiles at the force. The fighters eliminated many terrorists and disengaged in less than half an hour without casualties to our forces, with tanks covering their withdrawal. Sergeant First Class R' emphasized: "Its impact was mainly psychological on this entire system called Hezbollah that was in its home field."
