Shrapnel grenade under a baby stroller: Two suspects arrested in Nazareth
Two residents of Nazareth, aged 23 and 28, were arrested after materials suspected to be drugs and weapons, including a shrapnel grenade hidden under a baby stroller, were found in a guesthouse and a nearby vehicle. The police are expected to request an extension of their remand in court.
In an operation by Northern District police and Border Guard officers in Nazareth, two city residents, aged 23 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs and weapons. The raid was conducted at a guesthouse following intelligence information about the possession of weapons at the location. During the search of the guesthouse, dozens of portions of substances suspected to be cocaine and hashish were found. In a search of a vehicle belonging to one of those present, a bag placed under a baby stroller was identified; inside it were a shrapnel grenade and dozens of bullets. The two suspects were arrested at the scene, and the police are expected to request an extension of their remand at the Nazareth-No Hagalil Magistrate's Court. The investigation is ongoing.
