Vinter drops a bomb - the role Netanyahu is designating for Eisenkot: "A danger to state security"
The 'Amcha Yisrael' party, led by Ofer Vinter, issued a sharp response to the Likud and Netanyahu campaign, after a Maariv report that a senior party figure announced it would not automatically support Netanyahu. The party claims the campaign's aim is to bring about the appointment of Gadi Eisenkot as Defense Minister, a move they define as a danger to state security. Likud responded with a picture of Vinter alongside the original publication.
The 'Amcha Yisrael' party, led by Ofer Vinter, today issued a sharp response to the campaign being waged against it by Likud and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This followed a Maariv report that a senior party figure, attorney Eran Ben Ari, said at a home gathering that the party would not automatically support Netanyahu for prime minister. In the party's statement it was written that this is "another fake" whose aim is to bring about the appointment of Gadi Eisenkot as Defense Minister, a move they define as "a danger to state security." The party claims that Likud knows Amcha Yisrael is strong and is not "in the prime minister's pocket." Likud responded by displaying a picture of Vinter with the original publication in Maariv. Netanyahu himself published the article on X and wrote that voting for Vinter would bring a left-wing government of Eisenkot, Lieberman, Yair Golan and the Muslim Brotherhood.
