UK healthcare system: 43% of Jews responded - we hide our identity
The Campaign Against Antisemitism organization releases a documentary and comprehensive survey revealing a deep crisis of trust among Jews in the British healthcare system. 43% of respondents said they hide their Jewish identity when receiving treatment, and 65.1% fear they will not receive equal treatment due to their Judaism. The film documents severe testimonies of humiliations, threats, and Nazi salutes by medical staff.
The Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) has released a new documentary titled 'Malignant: Antisemitism in the NHS,' exposing a deep systemic crisis within Britain's public healthcare system. Alongside the film, a comprehensive survey of 4,490 respondents from the Jewish community in the UK paints a grim picture: 43% of Jews said they hide their Jewish identity when receiving medical treatment, and 65.1% fear they will not receive equal treatment due to their Judaism. The documentary documents severe testimonies, including a case where a patient reported that a surgeon, noticing the Star of David he was wearing, said to him, 'Jews should know better given what happened to them in Europe... Jews do it for fun, shooting children in the head or legs for their enjoyment every single day.' Additional cases revealed include a Nazi salute performed in front of a patient's bed, a Jewish emergency medical worker physically attacked by a colleague, and a senior medical professor receiving antisemitic death threats. The organization calls on healthcare leaders and politicians to implement a comprehensive action plan to eradicate the phenomenon.
