Two-year-old injured by vehicle in the north, condition critical
A two-year-old toddler was injured this evening (Sunday) by a vehicle in the village of Bu'eine Nujeidat in the north. Her condition is critical. She was evacuated to the North Poriya Medical Center while resuscitation efforts continued. Paramedics provided life-saving treatment at the scene. Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
A two-year-old toddler was injured this evening (Sunday) by a vehicle in the village of Bu'eine Nujeidat in the north, and was evacuated in critical condition to the North Poriya Medical Center. At 18:21, a report was received at the MDA 101 emergency hotline about the accident. Paramedics provided the toddler with life-saving medical treatment at the scene, including stopping bleeding, chest compressions and assisted breathing, and evacuated her to the hospital while resuscitation efforts continued. MDA emergency medicine paramedic Ahmed Rahaman said the toddler was unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, and suffering from severe multi-system trauma. Northern District police officers and Israel Police traffic accident investigators arrived at the scene, directed traffic and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
