Trump 'days away' from launching nuclear strike on Iran, Tucker Carlson claims
Tucker Carlson claimed the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran, under pressure from Benjamin Netanyahu. Carlson alleged the target would be Pickaxe Mountain. Trump had earlier said the US is looking at the site as a possible target using a non-nuclear bomb. The US launched limited defensive strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island.
Tucker Carlson claimed in an X/Twitter post on Sunday that the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran, under pressure from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Carlson alleged the target would be Pickaxe Mountain, a heavily fortified nuclear site near Iran's Natanz facility, and said no conventional weapon can penetrate its tunnels. Trump had earlier told Newsmax the US is looking at Pickaxe Mountain as a possible target, but said the MOAB bomb under consideration is non-nuclear. In a Monday Fox News interview, Trump said the US could carry out a strike 'in one hour.' Carlson also claimed Netanyahu is 'cornered and desperate' and needs the war. The claims came as the US launched 'defensive' strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island, which a US official said were limited.
