The Israeli delegation to the UN screened for the first time in the organization's building a documentary film examining UNRWA's conduct over the years and the use of its funds. The screening took place in front of dozens of diplomats, initiated by Ambassador Danny Danon. The film, which won the Best Investigative Award at the Haifa Festival 2025, traces UNRWA's establishment as a temporary body and presents the changes in its activities over more than 75 years. Danon claimed that UNRWA served as "a long arm of Hamas" and accused it of incitement and involvement in the October 7 attack. The screening takes place against the backdrop of criticism of the agency following that attack.
