The IDF has launched a large-scale operation to demolish dozens of terror monuments in Judea and Samaria, marking three years since the massacre. The operation began last night (Wednesday) across a wide range of Palestinian villages and cities in the Palestinian Authority territories. Among the sites destroyed: a central monument in downtown Nablus, and the monument to the memory of terrorist Yasser al-Hamdouni in the town of Yabad, southwest of Jenin. IDF soldiers left a letter to area residents stating that security forces will not allow incitement to terrorism or glorification of terrorists, and that any monument intended to glorify terrorists will be demolished. Minister Bezalel Smotrich and MK Zvi Sukkot responded: "The State of Israel is cutting down the infrastructure of incitement to terrorism and issuing a clear statement: there is no place for platforms supporting terrorism in the State of Israel." The operation is described as part of the 'Operation Governance' policy to remove incitement infrastructure.
