Mally Yahalomi (50) and her daughter Liel (23) from Modi'in were arrested in Namibia on suspicion of using forged passports. The Israel Police is aware of the report but clarifies that since the offense was allegedly committed on Namibian territory, the handling of the case is in the hands of the local authorities. The affair began in August 2026, when the two left for a trip to Europe and contact with them was lost. After extensive searches, they were located in Argentina by a representative of the Israel Police in Latin America, Superintendent Walter Kogan, who boarded the bus they were traveling on and verified that they were healthy. At the time, no suspicion of a criminal offense arose and they were released. Now, after their arrest in Namibia, a new chapter in the affair has opened.
