Three years after the million-shekel robbery in Holon, the third suspect in the case, a 42-year-old resident of the territories, was arrested during an IDF operation. His remand was extended until Thursday.

More than three years after an armed and violent robbery at an apartment on Dgania Street in Holon, investigators from the Tel Aviv District Central Unit (YMR) managed to close the circle with the arrest of the third suspect in the case, a 42-year-old resident of the territories who had been on the run since the incident and was declared a fugitive. The suspect was arrested yesterday (Sunday) during an IDF operation in the territories, and today the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended his remand until Thursday, October 22. The incident occurred on August 14, 2023, when several suspects arrived at the apartment of a then-37-year-old Holon resident. According to the suspicion, the gang members posed as police officers and presented a fake search warrant to the apartment owner. After entering, the suspects handcuffed the apartment owner, threatened him with a gun, and violently assaulted him, demanding he open the safe. The suspects stole luxury watches, jewelry, and cash, totaling more than one million shekels. Following the robbery, an investigation was opened, and during August 2023, two of the suspects were arrested and an indictment was filed against them. The third suspect managed to flee, and a judicial arrest warrant was issued against him. Yesterday, during an IDF operation in the territories, the suspect was arrested, transferred at the Hashmonaim checkpoint to officers from the Modi'in Illit station, and from there to YMR Tel Aviv investigators. The suspect is being questioned on suspicion of involvement in the robbery, and his remand was extended until October 22. The investigation is ongoing.
