Three years after the massacre: the last four kibbutzim in the Gaza envelope prepare to return home

The return process for Holit began in August 2026; Kfar Aza will begin at the end of September 2026; Be'eri will begin in December 2026 and be completed by July 2027; Nir Oz will begin at the end of 2027. The Tekuma administration has invested 1.7 billion shekels in interim housing. The physical rehabilitation budget stands at 1.5 billion shekels, of which 473 million is for Be'eri (350 renovated buildings and 132 new homes), 232 million for Nir Oz (95 new homes), 211 million for Kfar Aza (280 renovated homes and 98 new ones), and 57 million for Holit (110 renovated homes). The total strategic budget of Tekuma is 17 billion shekels, which also includes projects in energy, agriculture, tourism, and education.
