"Tell your boss - enough": the warning to NATO from the UN podium

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski used his speech at the UN General Assembly to sharply attack Russia and warn NATO against a Russian attempt to drag the alliance into a direct confrontation. Sikorski presented the war in Ukraine as an ongoing Russian strategic failure, saying Russia has been trying to conquer Donbas for more than 12 years and Kyiv for more than four years. He compared the economies: Europe's economy is ten times larger than Russia's, and NATO economies are 25 times larger. According to him, Russia can continue to kill many people but cannot win. Sikorski claimed that Russia attacks residential areas and civilian infrastructure, and that the responsibility for the war lies solely with it, while Ukraine exercises the right to self-defense. The speech included a warning against expanding the conflict: Sikorski mentioned Russian aircraft incursions, sabotage operations, and other incidents in Europe, and argued that the Kremlin might try to create a confrontation with a NATO member to justify escalation and further mobilization within Russia.
