The Southern District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment at the Be'er Sheva District Court against a resident of Rahat in his 20s for robbing a gas station in the city. According to the indictment, the robbery occurred on July 16. Security camera footage shows the suspect, masked, arriving at the gas station holding a wooden plank, brandishing it at the attendant and demanding money. After the attendant refused, the suspect forcibly entered the fueling station and physically confronted him. He then stole approximately 700 shekels from the cash register and fled the scene. Police reported that officers from the Rahat station launched an investigation, conducted operations that led to locating and arresting the suspect, and collected evidence and testimonies that established the evidentiary basis against him. Rahat station operations officer, Chief Superintendent Tzvi Michael, stated that the investigators acted professionally and resolutely, from receiving the report to filing the indictment, and that the police will continue to act decisively against robbery and violence offenses.
