A former employee of a Japanese hair straightening chain sued the owner, Yitzhak Ravivo, after a criminal case was closed due to lack of guilt. In civil proceedings, the Ramla Magistrate's Court ruled that Ravivo raped the employee in two instances and committed additional sexual acts against her while exploiting a position of authority. He was ordered to pay approximately 450,000 shekels in compensation, and with costs the amount reached half a million shekels. His appeal was rejected.

A former employee of the "Center for Hair Extensions and Japanese Straightening" chain won a civil case against the owner, Yitzhak Ravivo, after a criminal case was closed due to lack of guilt. The Ramla Magistrate's Court ruled that Ravivo raped the employee in two instances and committed additional sexual acts against her while exploiting a position of authority. Judge Zivan Elimi accepted the claim regarding four out of seven described incidents, including a kiss on the mouth, sexual touching of the chest, and two cases of rape. Ravivo was ordered to pay the employee 450,000 shekels in compensation, and with costs and attorney fees the liability reached over half a million shekels. His appeal to the Central District Court was rejected. Meanwhile, the employee approached the State Attorney's Office requesting a re-examination of the decision not to indict Ravivo, arguing that the civil proceedings yielded new evidence. The State Attorney's Office is expected to decide on the appeal by November.
